AWS vs Google Cloud vs Azure: Choosing the Right Platform

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

If you need a specific cloud service, AWS almost certainly has it. It's the safe, proven choice for most applications. The downside: the pricing model can be complex, and costs can surprise you if you're not monitoring them.

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Google Cloud is the strongest for data analytics, machine learning, and Kubernetes (Google invented it). If your project involves BigQuery, TensorFlow, or large-scale data processing, GCP is hard to beat. Google's global network infrastructure also gives it excellent latency for global applications.

Microsoft Azure

Azure integrates seamlessly with Microsoft products — Active Directory, Office 365, Teams, and Windows Server. For businesses already in the Microsoft ecosystem, Azure is the natural extension. It's also strong for hybrid cloud scenarios where some infrastructure stays on-premise.

Multi-Cloud: When It Makes Sense (and When It Doesn't)

Running workloads across more than one provider sounds like smart risk management, but it adds real operational complexity — different APIs, different billing models, different monitoring tools. It's usually worth it for large enterprises with regulatory requirements or genuinely provider-specific workloads, say GCP for ML alongside AWS for everything else. For most businesses, especially SMEs, going deep on one provider and using their managed services well beats spreading thin across three.
